The six principles

Build for the long road, not the launch week.

Every product we ship is one we intend to run for the next decade. That commitment changes every decision. We do not build for acquisition valuations or for the press cycle around a launch. We build things we would want to maintain in year seven, which means simpler architectures, smaller scopes, and a strong bias toward boring technology that has already proven itself.

Small tools beat big platforms.

Platforms accumulate surface area. They grow enterprise tiers, acquire adjacent tools, and slowly stop being good at the one thing they started with. We build small tools with clear edges. A thing that does one job well and gets out of the way is more valuable than a platform that does eight jobs adequately. We would rather ship something sharp than something comprehensive.

Operate every product we ship.

We do not hand off to a publisher. We do not white-label to a reseller. We run support, write the changelog, ship the fixes, and answer the emails ourselves. That proximity to users is how we know what matters. A studio that does not operate its own products is a studio that is slowly losing the argument about what to build next.

Pricing you can explain in a sentence.

We want the relationship between price and value simple enough to explain in one sentence. No dark patterns, no surprise overages, no fine print you have to negotiate out of. If a product cannot justify its price honestly, it should not exist.

Write down what we learn.

Decisions that are not documented are decisions that get repeated. When something breaks, when a bet pays off, when we change our minds, we write it down. Not for content marketing and not for SEO. For the next time we face the same situation and need to remember what we concluded the last time we were standing here.

Independence over scale.

We have been independent since 2016. We do not have investors telling us to move upstream or to broaden our target market. We get to say no to feature requests that would compromise the product. We get to keep things small. That independence is not a consolation prize for not raising money. It is the product. We protect it like one.
